Dialogue between Cristine and Miss Brill
I am in the bakery waiting for my order and Mrs. Brill shows up with a beautiful fur on her.
Mrs Brill: George, can I have the same as always, please?
She receives her order
Cris: What a beautiful fur Madam!
Mrs Brill: Thank you very much! It brings me some good memories.
Cris: Oh, yeah! I can imagine! Here, let me pay for that (I pay for her piece of cake)
Mrs Brill: Oh, dear! How can I thank you this lovely gesture?
Cris: I would be pleased hearing the story of this gorgeous fur!
Mrs Brill: would it be ok if we take a walk for starting the story?
Cris: not at all! Let’s go!
Miss Brill and Cris walk some minutes until they arrive to the park and have a sit
Miss Brill: This fur represents to me the person I used to be!…I used to be a well known actress…I had a brilliant career; I had everything a person can ever have
Cris: but what happened?
Miss Brill: I focused only on the present, I made some crazy things and I fell in love
Cris: That’s great! I want to be like you someday!
Miss Brill: Oh dear, don’t say that! Look at me, I am an old lady spending her last days between a bakery and some visits to the park
Cris: I don’t get it! Where is this guy you fell in love with?
Miss Brill: he was married when it all happened! ... Now he has grand children and I am completely lonely
Cris: what a jerk! Tell me more!
Miss Brill: yeah, well! We separated, then I stopped receiving scripts and finally I became in a no one
Cris: and.. Why do you come so often to this place?
Miss Brill: because I see this people as my audience and being here makes me feel the same like when I used to be on stage
Cris: that’s a little bit sad!
Miss Brill: I know… but now I think we should go
Cris: but you haven’t finish your story
Miss Brill: but now you know where to find me...
